Georgia Northwestern Falls On The Road
(Nashville, Tennessee) – A slow start in the Music City set the tone for Georgia Northwestern as Stephen Nelson led the way with 23 points for Freewill Baptist as they dropped the Bobcats Saturday, 75-58. Nelson, a 5-foot-9 junior from New Bern, North Carolina exchanged fire with Bobcat shooting guard Kyle Wilson (Armuchee). The GNTC sophomore co-captain led the Cats with 18 points in the road loss.
Freshman guard Patrick Printup (Adairsville) added 10 points to the effort. Sophomore co-captain Jesse Moore (Dade County) dropped in seven points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
Georgia Northwestern (2-4, 0-3) heads to Madisonville, Tennessee to face the Tigers of Hiwassee College. The Bobcats play three more dates before the Christmas break. They host Southern Crescent Tech on December 11, Tennessee Temple JV on December 13, and Chattahoochee Tech JV on December 17.
A charity ball game will take place on December 12 at 3 p.m. versus an All-Star Team from the Roper Corporation based in LaFayette, Georgia. The game will be held at LaFayette High School with all benefits going towards the Stocking Full of Love fundraiser in Walker County.
