Murray County grad registers as 100th student
(Chatsworth, Georgia) – The region’s largest college officially opens its newest campus with a ribbon-cutting on August 5. The Whitfield-Murray Campus of Georgia Northwestern Technical College will hold its first classes on August 22 when fall semester begins.
The campus reached a big milestone earlier this month as Chatsworth resident Veronica Chun became the 100th student to register for fall semester at the brand new campus. “I’m really interested in the human resources certification and decided to enrollment in the business management program,” said Chun. “I live in Chatsworth and the campus really close. My whole family’s excited.”
Chun, a 2010 graduate of Murray County High School, has three older sisters. She will be the first to attend college. “This campus is about opportunities for the people of Whitfield and Murray County,” said Tom Bojo, Whitfield-Murray Campus Manager. “We are offering degree, diploma, and certificate program options to all students. This is first and foremost about serving our community and our neighbors.”
Those applying and registering for courses at GNTC are exploring degree, diploma, and certificate options in Business Management, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, and Industrial Systems Technology. Deadline to apply for fall semester at GNTC is August 3.
