(The R.A.C., Rossville Athletic Complex, Rossville, Georgia) – The Lady Cats hosted Bryan College at The R.A.C. in Rossville, Georgia Monday night in a rematch of an August road battle in Dayton, Tennessee.

Five-foot-one Alysa McDaniel (Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe) led all Lady Cats with six kills in the non-region match as Georgia Northwestern fell to the Lady Lions in the best-of-five match 13-25, 16-25, 13-25.

Carrie Powell’s Lady Cats have just a few days of rest before her all-freshman squad hosts region rival West Georgia Tech at The R.A.C. on Friday at 6 p.m. The very next day, the Lady Cats hit the highway into Alabama as they travel to Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama for a prime-time match-up at 9 p.m. eastern.

“We are playing a very tough schedule this year and are fielding a very young roster,” said Powell. “We are learning a lot, but we are also getting hungrier as the season goes forward.”

Georgia Northwestern competes in the N JCAA’s Region XVII and awards all students free admission with student i.d.
