2014 GED®Commencement Ceremony

Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s (GNTC) Adult Education program will host two GED® Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2014. The first will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, at The Colonnade in Ringgold, Georgia. The ceremonies are for those who have earned the General Educational Development® Diploma during the 2013-2014 fiscal year, as well as the family and friends of the graduates.

GED® Graduates will participate in a traditional cap and gown ceremony. GNTC’s 2014 EAGLE Award winner Ru Zhen Zou will address the graduates at the ceremony. Catoosa Citizens for Literacy Executive Director Shirley Smith will present scholarship awards during the ceremony.

GNTC’s Adult Education has assisted 677 GED® students in earning their diplomas during this past year. GNTC is an official General Educational Development® Testing Site. GED Testing Service is a joint venture between the American Council on Education (ACE) and Pearson Vue.

Graduates have been contacted by letter with instructions regarding the event. Any graduate who did not receive information should call 706-272-2909 for information about their participation in the ceremony.
