(Polk County, Georgia) – More than 160 high school students, as well as many parents, from Cedartown and Rockmart High Schools in Georgia took part in Georgia Northwestern’s Dual Enrollment/Move On When Ready (MOWR) Orientation on the Polk County Campus of GNTC Wednesday.

A special thanks to those involved with the Polk County School District and Georgia Northwestern Technical College for making the day a huge success.

The MOWR Program, formerly known as the Accel program, provides opportunities for eligible high school students to enroll earn both high school and college credit at the same time. The new MOWR Program will help reduce the cost of participation in the original ACCEL program, as well as expand the types of classes students are able to enroll in. Financial assistance improvements for textbooks, fees, and tuition are among the top selling points of this brand new opportunity for students attending Georgia High Schools.
